Exult is the annual youth retreat camp for young people in New Zealand organised by the Jesus Youth. Exult has been conducted for the past five years, starting with 14 people who attended Exult in 2010. This year’s Exult was special as it officially started on May 31st which is the Feast of Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary to Elizabeth.
The theme of Exult’14 was
“Let everything that breathes praise the Lord” – Psalm 150.
We had three speakers in total for the retreat, of which two of them were young and vibrant priests, Fr. Bony Abraham MGL, Australia and Fr. Tony Alex ICPE, New Zealand. The third speaker was Br Fritz Mascarenhas from ICPE India. We were blessed by the presence of 15 priests from the Diocese of Auckland who came to administer the Sacrament of Reconciliation on the second evening of the event. Two sisters from the Little Sisters of the Poor, Sr. Alba and Sr. Rita Mary also joined us who inspired us with their joy and love.
Including about 25 volunteers a total of 105 young people drawn from all walks of life were a part Exult 2014. They represented 10 cities of New Zealand from Kaitaia to Dunedin, which gave a national flavor to the retreat camp. The two major highlights of the retreat were reconciliation and night adoration, in particular the inner healing adoration. Apart from this, there were also powerful testimonies, inspiring sessions, pulsating outdoor activities, praise and worship and action songs.
